The A7 Sportback is the rarest of the range and usually heavily specified. On this car the conversation with the insurer is mainly about theft prevention and about where the car may be repaired.

On a car that is on the road in small numbers and sits high in the market, the emphasis shifts from collision damage to theft. Insurers will usually accept cars like these, but they set requirements as to security: a certified alarm system of a particular class, or a vehicle tracking system with a subscription. That requirement appears on the policy as a warranty clause and is not advice but a condition of cover.
On top of that, the keylessoperation a real point of attention. In a relay attack, criminals amplify the signal from the key lying indoors and open and start the car without forcing anything. Because there are then no traces, insurers require a watertight account and the surrender of all keys. Keep the key in a signal-blocking pouch, away from the front door.
The third point is repair. Aluminium body panels and bonded structures call for a repairer with the right equipment and certification. Not every general bodyshop can do that, which lengthens the time it takes. So ask in advance whether your policy allows free choice of repairer and what that does to the excess and to a replacement vehicle.
We compare your car insurance across dozens of insurers, explain where the real differences lie, and arrange the switch from start to finish — without you having to chase it yourself.

This overview is general in nature and is not personal advice. What is actually covered, including exclusions, limits and the excess, is set out in the policy conditions and the insurance card (verzekeringskaart) of the insurer; you receive both before you take out cover. Taking out cover without advice? Then read what execution only means for you.
Insurers weigh these details differently. That is where your saving is.
We look at the terms as well as the premium, and stay your point of contact when there is a claim.
We are not tied to one insurer and compare on the basis of an objective analysis of several companies.
You call or email someone who knows your file. No menu options, no changing call centres.
We cancel your old policy and align the start date, so you are never a day without cover.
We report the claim and monitor how it is handled. In urgent cases you can reach us on the emergency line.
Customers rate our service on four aspects: personal service, service delivery, availability and the outcome. The reviews are collected and published by NH1816 and come from customers who have actually taken out a policy with Finass Advies B.V. or reported a claim.
Four points that make the difference between a policy that pays out and one that does not.
If a certified alarm or a tracking system is a requirement on your policy, theft cover depends on compliance. A system that was not switched on, a lapsed subscription to the tracking system or an installation without a valid certificate leads to the claim being refused. Keep the installation certificate and the annual service records. When a theft is reported, those are the first documents the insurer asks for.
In a relay attack the car is left undamaged and there are no signs of forcing. The insurer then investigates whether all keys are present and whether the system has been read out. If you cannot produce all the keys, the claim is in general refused. When buying a used example, always record how many keys were supplied and have missing ones removed from the system.
Aluminium and bonded body panels may only be repaired using the prescribed method and equipment. The number of firms permitted to do so is limited, and parts are not always in stock. Expect a longer time off the road than with a mainstream car. Check whether your policy allows free choice of repairer, or whether you are obliged to use a network repairer and what excess applies then.
There is no cover for theft where not all keys can be handed in, where the prescribed alarm or tracking system was missing or not working, or where the keys were left in or near the car. Also excluded: taking part in speed trials and track days, hire or use through a car-sharing platform, and undeclared modifications to engine management or suspension. Wear and mechanical defects fall outside the cover as always.
This is what people ask us most.
That depends on the conditions of acceptance. On cars in this category, insurers regularly require a certified alarm system or a tracking system with a subscription. If that requirement appears as a clause on the policy, theft cover is tied to it: no working system, no payout. We ask about that requirement in advance, so that you can take the cost of installation into account when comparing insurers.
In a relay attack there are no traces. The insurer then investigates the claim thoroughly: all keys have to be handed in, the on-board system is read out and the police report is tested against the circumstances. If a key is missing or the prescribed system turns out not to have been active, a refusal follows. Keep keys in a signal-blocking pouch and not by the front door.
That differs from policy to policy. Some insurers offer free choice, others steer you to an approved network and then reduce the excess or provide a replacement vehicle. With aluminium and bonded body panels the number of certified firms is limited, so check that the marque specialist you prefer falls within the policy conditions before you have the repair booked in.
Replacing and recoding a key is usually not an insured loss. That comes under ordinary use. Some policies have a limited module for it. What matters more is that you have a lost key removed from the system straight away: if you cannot produce all the keys after a later theft, that alone is grounds for the claim to be refused.
