Third-party liability
- All vehicles on one policy
- Trailers and semi-trailers too
- One renewal date
With a fleet, the bonus-malus disappears and your own claims burden takes its place. That suddenly makes loss prevention a direct premium item rather than an abstract idea.

Fleet insurance brings all your company's vehicles under one agreement, with one policy schedule, one renewal date and one point of contact. In reality it starts to pay off from about three to five vehicles, mainly because of the administration.
The premium is not calculated per vehicle on no-claims years but on the claims burden of the whole fleet: the ratio between what you pay in premium and what the insurer pays out in claims. If the ratio is favourable the premium falls; if it is unfavourable it rises — for all vehicles at once.
During the year you can add and remove vehicles without a new policy. New vehicles are often covered immediately through automatic cover, with settlement afterwards.
We compare your van insurance across dozens of insurers, explain where the real differences lie, and arrange the switch from start to finish — without you having to chase it yourself.

Get coveredThe structure of the cover in three parts, with an overview per situation below.
Compulsory by law for every vehicle on the policy.
You choose per vehicle whether it has third-party fire and theft or comprehensive cover.
Changes, green cards and claims handling in one place.
What is covered
| Situation | Covered |
|---|---|
| A collision with a company vehicle | Yes |
| Theft of a vehicle from the fleet | Sometimes |
| A new car that has not yet been registered | Sometimes |
| Injury to your driver on the road | No |
| Tools and load in the van | No |
| Driving without a valid licence or under the influence | No |
This overview is general in nature and is not personal advice. What is actually covered, including exclusions, limits and the excess, is set out in the policy conditions and the insurance card (verzekeringskaart) of the insurer; you receive both before you take out cover. Taking out cover without advice? Then read what execution only means for you.
Insurers weigh these details differently. That is where your saving is.
We look at the terms as well as the premium, and stay your point of contact when there is a claim.
We are not tied to one insurer and compare on the basis of an objective analysis of several companies.
You call or email someone who knows your file. No menu options, no changing call centres.
We cancel your old policy and align the start date, so you are never a day without cover.
We report the claim and monitor how it is handled. In urgent cases you can reach us on the emergency line.
Customers rate our service on four aspects: personal service, service delivery, availability and the outcome. The reviews are collected and published by NH1816 and come from customers who have actually taken out a policy with Finass Advies B.V. or reported a claim.
Four points that make the difference between a policy that pays out and one that does not.
Because the premium is based on the claims burden of the whole fleet, every loss prevented feeds straight through into what you pay. Driving behaviour monitoring, a clear claims protocol, cameras in vans and discussing claims with drivers are therefore not management talk but a premium measure.
With a fleet you can set the excess per category. A higher excess on the vans that pick up a lot of small parking damage reduces the premium sharply, while you keep it low on the directors' cars. Work out how many small claims you have per year before you choose.
The fleet policy insures the vehicles. What is inside them (tools, materials, trading stock) is not covered. That calls for own-account carriage insurance or goods-in-transit insurance, with its own requirements as to overnight parking.
Injury to a member of staff taking part in traffic for work falls outside the motor policy and outside your public and employers' liability insurance (AVB). The WEGAS insurance (*WEGAS*, employer's liability cover for road use) exists for that, and the Hoge Raad (the Dutch Supreme Court) has firmly anchored that liability in the duty to act as a good employer.
This is what people ask us most.
In reality from about three to five. The advantage lies partly in the premium but mainly in the administration: one policy, one renewal date and changes without a new application.
On the basis of the claims burden of the whole fleet: the ratio between premium paid and claims paid out. Bonus-malus per vehicle therefore disappears, and loss prevention feeds straight through into your rate.
Yes. Comprehensive cover for young cars, third-party or third-party fire and theft for older vans, and the excess set per category. That is one of the biggest advantages of this form.
With most policies a new vehicle is automatically included, with settlement afterwards. Do report it within the agreed period. That is set out in the policy conditions.
No. Tools, materials and stock fall outside the vehicle policy. That calls for own-account carriage insurance, with requirements as to where the vehicle is parked overnight.
Not on this policy and not on your AVB either, which excludes motor vehicles. For that you need a WEGAS insurance.
