With Mansory the added value sits in the bodywork: carbon fibre panels, wide-body parts, wheels and interior, and those are precisely the parts that cannot be repaired but only replaced.

In insurance terms a car converted by Mansory is above all a bodywork file. Bumpers, the bonnet, wing extensions, spoilers and diffusers are made in carbon fibre and produced individually. Material of that kind cannot be beaten out or filled locally: if it is damaged, the whole part is replaced, including fitting and painting. A slight collision or a kerb therefore produces an invoice that has nothing to do with the base car.
On top of that the interior, the wheels and the paintwork are often made to order. An insurer that only has the base car in its system pays for exactly that. The modifications must therefore be separately declared and insured, and the value must be recorded in a valuation report describing the package with photographs and invoices.
The third point is how much it stands out. These cars attract attention, which increases the risk of vandalism and of theft of individual parts. We therefore look at storage, security and the area of cover. See also the car insurance and the explanation of comprehensive cover.
We compare your car insurance across dozens of insurers, explain where the real differences lie, and arrange the switch from start to finish — without you having to chase it yourself.

This overview is general in nature and is not personal advice. What is actually covered, including exclusions, limits and the excess, is set out in the policy conditions and the insurance card (verzekeringskaart) of the insurer; you receive both before you take out cover. Taking out cover without advice? Then read what execution only means for you.
Insurers weigh these details differently. That is where your saving is.
We look at the terms as well as the premium, and stay your point of contact when there is a claim.
We are not tied to one insurer and compare on the basis of an objective analysis of several companies.
You call or email someone who knows your file. No menu options, no changing call centres.
We cancel your old policy and align the start date, so you are never a day without cover.
We report the claim and monitor how it is handled. In urgent cases you can reach us on the emergency line.
Customers rate our service on four aspects: personal service, service delivery, availability and the outcome. The reviews are collected and published by NH1816 and come from customers who have actually taken out a policy with Finass Advies B.V. or reported a claim.
Four points that make the difference between a policy that pays out and one that does not.
A cracked or delaminated carbon part cannot be beaten out and can rarely be repaired safely. The repairer orders a new panel, fits it and paints it to match the existing colour scheme. That means a long turnaround, because the parts are made to order and come from abroad. Have it recorded in advance whether your policy provides a replacement vehicle for the duration of the repair, and for how long.
An insurer accepting the car on its registration sees the standard model. What you have had done to the bodywork, wheels and interior is then not part of the insured value. Have the car valued including the complete package by a recognised valuer and keep the invoices and photographic documentation. As long as that advance valuation is valid it binds the insurer under Article 7:960 of the Dutch Civil Code. After that the market value applies again.
On this type of car, wheels, mirror caps, spoilers and lighting units are also taken separately, without the vehicle itself disappearing. Whether that loss falls under theft or under vandalism, and what excess then applies, differs by policy. Insurers also make requirements as to storage: a locked garage, an approved alarm and sometimes a tracking system. If those are not met, the payout can be reduced.
Paint damage from stone chips, car wash scratches and film coming away are gradual or use-related damage and fall outside the cover. Any fall in value remaining after a proper repair is rarely paid for, even though a repaired carbon part is worth less. Circuit use and speed events are excluded. Modifications that have not been declared do not count, and intent or wilful recklessness falls away under Article 7:952 of the Dutch Civil Code.
This is what people ask us most.
Yes. What has not been declared is not insured. Declare the modifications when you apply, with invoices and photographs, and have the car valued including the package. If you do not, the insurer works from the standard model when you claim and you are paid its value. An extension fitted later must also be declared; waiting until renewal is a risk.
As a rule replaced. Carbon fibre cannot be beaten out and a repair rarely restores the structure fully. The repairer orders a new panel, fits it and paints it in. Expect a long turnaround, because these parts are made to order. So check whether your policy provides a replacement vehicle and for how many days it applies.
That depends on the policy conditions. Theft of individual parts without the car disappearing falls under theft with one insurer and under vandalism with another, with a different excess. Make sure the wheels are named in the valuation and ask whether security requirements apply, such as locking bolts or storage in a locked space.
Practically never. Own-damage cover pays for the repair or, on a total loss, the value established. The difference in market value between an undamaged example and a repaired one is not an insured head of loss. If someone else is liable for the collision, a fall in value can be part of your claim against their insurer; have the assessor support that in the report.
