In brief

The ratings on this site are collected and published by NH1816. The survey goes only to people who have actually taken out a policy with Finass Advies B.V. or reported a claim. There is no open form: anyone who is not a customer cannot leave a rating.

Ratings are given on four elements: personal service, service delivery, accessibility and the outcome. The averages currently stand at 9.5 for a new policy and 9.8 for claims handling. Those figures move with every new response, so a snapshot may differ from what you read here.

A good score says something about the way we work, not about your policy. Whether a claim is paid follows from the policy conditions and the insurer's decision.

How the ratings come about

Three things determine what a rating is worth to you: who gives it, what it covers and who publishes it.

Who

Our own customers only

The questionnaire goes to people with a policy or a claim file.

  • Survey after taking out a policy
  • Survey after a claim has been settled
  • No open form for visitors
  • Not every customer responds

What is reimbursed in your case is set out in the policy conditions and the insurance card (verzekeringskaart); other customers' experience says nothing about that.

What you can and cannot infer from a score

Two points to bear in mind when reading ratings.

An average is not a guarantee

A score is the average of the customers who responded. Not everyone responds, and the make-up of that group varies from period to period. A high average therefore says something about the experience of a group, not about the outcome of your file. So read the comments as well: they explain better why someone was satisfied than the figure itself.

Ratings are about us, not about the policy

We advise and act as intermediary; the insurer accepts the risk and decides on payment. A complaint about a refusal is therefore usually a discussion about the policy conditions and not about our service. Report it to our office first; if we cannot resolve it, you can put the complaint to Kifid, where we are registered under number 300.012144.

What does your premium depend on?

  • Type of cover — limited, extended or comprehensive
  • Sums insured — the higher the sum, the higher the premium
  • Excess — your own share of a claim
  • Claims history — previous claims count
  • Town or place of business — burglary, storm and water risk
  • Package and method of payment — bundle discount and annual payment

Insurers weigh these details differently. That is why comparing pays off.

How we arrange it

  1. You request a quoteWe take stock of your situation, risk and wishes.
  2. We compareseveral insurers, on premium as well as conditions.
  3. You receive a proposalWith an explanation of the differences and the exclusions.
  4. We arrange the switchIncluding cancellation, so there is no gap in cover.

Frequently asked questions

The questions we are asked most often about this.

Who may leave a rating?

Only customers of Finass Advies B.V. who have taken out a policy or reported a claim. They receive a questionnaire once that process is complete. Visitors to the website cannot post a rating, and we do not invite anyone selectively either; the survey follows the file, not the customer.

Who collects and publishes the scores?

NH1816 collects the responses and publishes them on its own platform. On our site you will find the summary with the average scores and a link to the full overview. Because collection lies outside our office, we cannot amend or remove individual ratings.

What exactly is rated?

Four elements: personal service, service delivery, accessibility and the outcome. Those questions are about our work as adviser and intermediary. The level of your premium, the acceptance decision and the question of whether a claim falls within cover are determined by the insurer and fall outside the rating.

Does a high score say anything about my cover?

No. Ratings say something about the way customers have been helped, not about the content of a policy. Whether a claim is paid depends on the description of the event, the exclusions, the limits and the excess on your own policy schedule. Read the conditions and the insurance card for that.

I am dissatisfied. What can I do?

Call or email your adviser first; many misunderstandings are resolved with a single conversation. If that does not help, submit a complaint through our complaints procedure. If you still disagree, you can put the case within the applicable period to Kifid under membership number 300.012144, or to the civil court.

Would you like to experience how we work?

Request a quote without obligation; you will have a dedicated adviser and a proposal with an explanation of the exclusions.
