With freight transport insurance you cover damage to purchased and sold goods during transport and storage, for which you bear the risk according to the Incoterms.

Freight  transport insurance insures  your commercial and owned goods against damage during transport.  Whether you transport them yourself or have someone else transport them. You then run no risk if the carrier is not or not fully liable  .  The full value of the goods is insured .

If you regularly trade and transport goods, opt for continuous transport insurance. All your transports are then insured for a certain period up to a certain amount per shipment. If you occasionally transport goods, you can take out insurance per shipment.
