Calculate/compare/take out health insurance

Health insurance is insurance that covers the costs of care and medication. If you need care, in whatever form, you can often (partly) recover the costs from your health insurer . health insurance every year until January 31 of the following year.

The government determines what is included in the basic package. The basic package covers the costs of care from, for example, a GP, hospital, psychiatrist or pharmacy.

Anyone who lives or works in the Netherlands must take out basic insurance. This insures you for care from the basic package.
