Which insurance is mandatory?

There are a number of them in the Netherlands Insurance that one obliged are. These are Insurance established by the government to limit the financial risks of certain situations and to ensure that everyone has access to basic services. Here is an overview of the mandatory insurance:
Health insurance: This is one basic insurance that everyone in the Netherlands must take out in order to have access to medical care. The Health insurance covers the costs of medical treatments, such as GP visits, hospital admissions, medicines and specialist care. The basic package is legally established and the same for everyone, but you can Health insurance expand with additional ones Insurance for extra coverage.
Car insurance: If you own a car and want to use it on public roads, you are required to have at least one WA (Legal Liability) Car insurance to close. This Insurance covers the damage you cause to others with your car. There are also more extensive ones Insurance, such as the WA+ (limited airframe) and the All Risk (complete hull) Insurance , which also cover damage to your own car in certain situations.
Third party insurance for motor vehicles: For other motor vehicles, such as mopeds, scooters, motorcycles and vans, a mandatory Third party insurance. Just like with the Car insurance covers this Insurance the damage you cause to others with your vehicle.
Liability insurance for companies (AVB): If you have a business, it is mandatory to have one Liability insurance to close. This Insurance covers damage that you as a company cause to others, for example as a result of an industrial accident or due to an error in a delivered product.
Although this one Insurance are legally required, there are many others Insurance which you may consider to protect yourself, your family and your assets, depending on your personal situation. Some examples are a Contents insurance, Building insurance, Travel insurance, funeral insurance and disability insurance. This Insurance are not mandatory, but may be important depending on your situation and wishes.
