A Travel insurance protects you against unexpected costs during your holiday. Consider medical costs abroad, stolen luggage, cancellation of your trip or car breakdown. Although travel insurance is not mandatory, it is helpful peace and security.

💡 When is Continuous cheaper?
Continuous travel insurance is cheaper if:
- → You more than 3 weeks per year goes on holiday
- → YOU several times travels per year (including weekend trips)
- → YOU last minute want to be able to book
- → You one family has (children often come for free)
What Coverage Do You Need?
Choose the modules that suit your travel plans:
Medical Expenses
Hospital, emergency room, medicine. Reimburses the difference with the NL rate and deductible.
Luggage & Money
Theft, loss, damage to luggage, clothing, electronics and cash.
Cancellation
Can't continue your journey? Accommodation and travel expenses reimbursed in the event of illness, death, etc.
Winter sports
Ski equipment, helicopter rescue, ski pass. Not included as standard!
Roadside Assistance Car
Assistance in the event of a breakdown or accident with a car, motorcycle or caravan abroad.
Accidents
Benefit in the event of permanent disability or death due to an accident while traveling.
🌍 Europe or World Coverage?
Your destination determines what coverage you need:
🇪🇺 Europe coverage
All EU countries + Turkey, Morocco, Tunisia, Iceland, Norway. Lower premium.
🌎 World coverage
All countries worldwide. Higher premium due to higher healthcare costs (US, Asia, etc.).
💡 Tip: Only turn on world coverage if you are actually traveling outside Europe. This way you save on premium.

🏥 Medical Costs Abroad
YOUw basic insurance reimburses emergency care abroad, but only up to Dutch rate. In countries with higher healthcare costs (USA, Switzerland, Austria) you pay the difference yourself.
- → Additional medical coverage: Reimburses the difference + your deductible
- → Winter sports accident: Can cost thousands of euros (helicopter, hospital)
- → Dental: Often a maximum of €600 per event
- → Deductible health insurance: Often co-insured
⛷️ Winter sports: Extra Coverage Needed!
Winter sports are not covered as standard. Take out additional winter sports coverage:
- ❄️ Ski equipment: Theft/damage to own or rented skis, snowboard (max €300-€5,000)
- ❄️ Rent replacement equipment: If your belongings have been stolen or damaged
- ❄️ Helicopter rescue: Transport from the slopes (can cost €3,000+!)
- ❄️ Ski pass & ski lessons: Reimbursement for days missed in the event of illness/accident
- ❄️ Italy: Liability insurance mandatory on the slopes!
- ❄️ Helmet requirement: Mandatory in several countries from the 2025/2026 season
💡 Tip: In addition to winter sports, also cover medical costs. A skiing accident can cost thousands of euros!
❌ Cancellation insurance
Cancellation insurance reimburses travel and accommodation costs if you have to cancel or terminate your holiday:
- ✓ Illness or accident from yourself or family member
- ✓ Death from family member
- ✓ Dismissal or bankruptcy of employer
- ✓ Serious damage to home
- → Close inside 14 days after booking!
NB: Continuous cancellation insurance is more convenient – you are covered for all bookings all year round.
⚠️ Check for Double Coverage
Avoid being double insured and paying unnecessary premiums:
- → Health insurance: Already covers foreign care up to the Dutch rate
- → Car insurance: Roadside assistance abroad is sometimes included
- → Credit card: Some cards offer travel coverage
- → Contents insurance: Sometimes luggage is covered outside the home
