🛡️

Liability insurance vve

The liability insurance VvE (also called third party liability insurance or AVB) covers damage caused by the building third parties or their property. As a homeowners' association, you are the legal owner of the building and are therefore responsible for any damage.

Think of one roof tile blowing loose and falls on a car, a facade panel that comes loose and injures a pedestrian, or a leakage that causes damage to an underlying building.

💰
Damage claims Walk On!

Claims for damages to third parties are possible rise very high, especially in the case of personal injury. Consider medical costs, loss of income, compensation and permanent disability. Amounts of tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of euros are no exception.

Without insurance, all owners have to joint pay these costs on the basis of the deed of division. That can be financially disastrous!

The three main categories of damage that homeowners' association liability insurance covers.

Damage that results indirectly from an incident. For example, a leak from the homeowners' association building that causes water damage in an underlying shop or office building.
