Porsche is the German sports car brand that is synonymous with driving pleasure, performance and timeless design. The construction office was closed April 25, 1931 founded by FerdInand Porsche in Stuttgart. The first Porsche sports car, the 356, was entered 1948 built by his son Ferry Porsche in Gmünd, Austria.

📜 The Founders of Porsche
FerdInand Porsche (1875-1951) founded April 25, 1931 zijn constructiebureau "Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche GmbH" op in Stuttgart. Daarvoor werkte hij bij Daimler-Bandz and ontwierp hij onder meer de Mercedes SSK. In 1934 kreeg hij de opdracht om de "Volkswagand" te ontwerpand – wat later de Kever werd.
After the Second World War his son built it Ferry Porsche (1909-1998) In 1948 the first Porsche sports car: the 356. The first 52 cars were built by hand at a sawmill in Gmünd, Austria. In 1950 the company returned to Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen.
In 1963 revealed FerdInand Alexander "Butzi" Porsche, Ferry's son, the 911 – oorspronkelijk "901" gandoemd totdat Peugeot bezwaar maakte. De 911 is sindsdiand het symbool van het merk.
🏎️ The Legendary 911
The Porsche 911 has been the heart of the brand for more than 60 years. The unique concept – a rear-mounted six-cylinder boxer engine – has not changed in all that time. From the air-cooled first generations to the current water-cooled 992.2, the 911 remains true to its DNA.
The range includes the Carrera (385-480 hp), Targa with open roof, Turbo (580-650 hp), and the track-oriented GT3 and GT3 RS. Body options: Coupé, Cabriolet and Targa.
⚡ Porsche Electric: Taycan & Macan
With the Taycan (2019), Porsche entered the electric era. The 800-volt architecture, developed with experience from Formula E, makes ultra-fast charging possible. The. followed in 2024 Macan Electric on the PPE platform jointly developed with Audi.
The Taycan is available as a sedan, Cross Turismo (increased) and Sports Turismo (shooting brake). The Taycan Turbo S accelerates to 100 km/h in 2.4 seconds. By 2024, 27% of all Porsches will be delivered electrified.
