📜 The History of RAM
The name RAM was in October 1980 introduced for the 1981 model year, when Dodge redesignated the D-Series pickups and B-Series vans. The ram ornament on the hood has been around since 1933 used and symbolizes strength and determination.
The Dodge brothers – John and Horace – started in car parts in 1900. In 1914 they built their first cars. In 1928 Dodge was taken over by Chrysler. The RAM grew into a direct competitor of Ford F-Series and Chevrolet Silverado.
In 1989 became the legendary CummIns Turbo Diesel introduced. In 1994 kwam de baanbrekandde tweede ganderatie met het stoere "Big Rig" design. In 2010 RAM became an independent brand. It has been covered since 2021 Stellantis.
