What we do not do
- No loan or revolving credit
- No credit advice
- No brokerage or application
We insure; we do not lend and do not act as intermediaries for it either. Here you can read why an offer without an assessment is rarely an opportunity, but a warning sign.

Please note: borrowing money costs money. For consumer credit, interest and charges are summarised in the annual percentage rate (APR), which makes offers comparable. The monthly payment does not. For business credit there is no such requirement, so ask yourself for the the total cost of credit over the whole term.
Licensed providers of consumer credit are required to consult the BKR for credit above a statutory threshold with a term longer than a month. Parties advertising borrowing without a BKR checkusually do not hold that licence, operate from abroad or charge fees intended to compensate for the missing check.
With a business loan to a private limited company that BKR requirement does not automatically apply. That does not make without BKR a selling point, however: a serious financier will assess your figures, your cash flow and your security in any event. If a party does not, the offer deserves suspicion. Finass Verzekert does not act as an intermediary here.
A mortgage, loan or investment often touches your insurance too. We look at the bigger picture and point you to the right specialist whenever something falls outside insurance itself.

This overview is general in nature and is not personal advice.
We look at the terms as well as the premium, and stay your point of contact when there is a claim.
We are not tied to one insurer and compare on the basis of an objective analysis of several companies.
You call or email someone who knows your file. No menu options, no changing call centres.
We cancel your old policy and align the start date, so you are never a day without cover.
We report the claim and monitor how it is handled. In urgent cases you can reach us on the emergency line.
Customers rate our service on four aspects: personal service, service delivery, availability and the outcome. The reviews are collected and published by NH1816 and come from customers who have actually taken out a policy with Finass Advies B.V. or reported a claim.
Four points explaining why an offer without an assessment is rarely favourable.
The income and creditworthiness assessment exists to prevent over-lending. If it shows the payments are not affordable, that is information about your business and not an obstacle to be circumvented. Carrying on looking for a party willing to lend without an assessment is in practice the most expensive route: the price compensates for the risk nobody else was willing to take.
A provider without a Dutch licence falls outside the supervision of the AFM and is usually not affiliated to a complaints institute. If things go wrong, you have no accessible dispute resolution and often no usable point of contact. Check the provider in the AFM register and in the Chamber of Commerce trade register before you hand over any details.
In a common form of fraud you have to pay first: file fees, a deposit, an insurance premium or an advance for the notary. After that the loan does not follow, or a new request follows. A legitimate financier sets fees off against the payout and never asks in advance for a transfer to a private account. Also be alert to contact taking place solely through chat apps.
A registration is not a blacklist. The BKR records current credit and notes arrears. That note disappears after a period of time. A refusal is often caused not by the registration itself but by the current commitments it reveals. Ask for your own overview and have incorrect registrations corrected.
This is what people ask us most.
For a private limited company the BKR requirement for consumer credit does not automatically apply, so formally business finance can be arranged without a check. That is no advantage: every serious financier assesses figures, cash flow and security. If none of that is asked for, the risk lies somewhere else, usually in the price or in the reliability of the party.
Because the law requires it for consumer credit above a statutory threshold with a term longer than a month. The aim is to prevent over-lending. A provider advertising borrowing without that check usually does not hold the licence. That is not an opportunity but a warning sign, including where you are borrowing for business purposes.
With a sole trader business or a general partnership there is no separation between private and business, so credit can end up in your personal registration. Where you co-sign or give a guarantee from a private limited company, that too can have consequences for later applications, for instance for a mortgage. Ask the provider in writing beforehand how it registers.
No. Our AFM licence covers general insurance. We do not provide credit, do not advise on it and do not act as intermediaries for it, including for business purposes. We do arrange the insurance a financier requires from you and the cover that suits your business: liability, buildings, stock, business interruption and legal expenses.
Every situation is different. For these situations we have a separate page.
Call or email us; for credit we refer you to a party holding that licence.
