This is an example blog post.

If you log in to the site (the login link is at the bottom of this page) you can edit it and all other existing articles. You can also create a new article and make other changes to the site.

As you add and edit articles, you'll see how your site changes and also how you can customize it in different ways.

Go ahead, it can't be broken.

Your homepage is set to display the four most recent articles from the category blog in a column. In addition, there are links to the following two older articles. You can change these numbers by editing the options settings in your site management - on the blog tab -. There is a link to your site management in the top menu.

If you want to split your blog post into two parts—an introduction and a separate full page, use the Read More button to insert a break.

Some frequently used modules are already preset on your site. These are:

  • Image module, which shows the image below the menu. This is a custom module that you can edit to change the image.
  • Most Read Posts, which lists articles based on the number of times they have been read.
  • Old articles, containing articles per month.
  • Syndicate, which allows your readers to read your messages in a news reader.
  • Popular tags, which appears when you use tags in your articles. Enter a tag in the 'Tags' field when editing.

Each of these modules has many options that you can try out in 'Module Manager' in your site management. When moving your mouse over a module, you select the editing icon which takes you to the editing screen of that module. Always save and close any module you edit.

Joomla! also includes many other modules that you can integrate into your site. As you develop your site you can add more modules which you can find on the Joomla Extensions Directory.

Templates determine the look and feel of your website.

This blog is installed with the Protostar template.

You can edit the options by selecting the Template settings link in the top menu (visible when logged in).

For example, you can change the background color, highlights color, site title, site description and font used for the title.

More options are available in the site administration. You can also install a new template using the Extension Manager.
